Consistency. Manageable. Engaging. These are some words that should describe a Bible reading plan. As believers we should be daily in the scriptures. Often times we only hunt a passage that seeks to serve our emotional whims. Or, we randomly turn to a Psalm. The Lord commands us to be thorough in our study. Ephesians 5:26-27 says,
“That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.“
With the word, the church is washed, cleansed, and set apart. The results of the washing word is splendor, spotless, newness, blemish free, and set apart for God’s use. This is a result of the scriptures. I have linked a super Bible reading plan. I encourage you to start off today, read through the scriptures, study them this coming year and the years to come. Here is a great tool for your spiritual growth.
May God lead you into unspeakable riches in His word. Blessings.
